<hi style=afpcap>The Huff-Daland LB-5 bomber enabled the Army to develop it bombing tactics with ranges being established close to the home stations. Illustrated is an LB-5 based at Pope Field, near Fayetteville in North Carolina, which is returning to its base after having performed practice bombing of the Pee Dee River Bridge in North Carolina. Although tactics were rather rudimentary, the crews developed their skills through regular practice in much the same manner as today. </hi>
